Dry Eye Treatment + Eye Anti-Aging

What is Dry Eye Syndrome?
Dry eye syndrome, also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, refers to a common and complex eye disease caused by insufficient tear production, excessive evaporation, or abnormal tear composition, leading to discomfort and visual impairment.

Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) refers to the degeneration of the meibomian glands. Scientific data indicates that 85% of dry eye cases clinically are due to MGD.

Symptoms of Dry Eye Syndrome

Common symptoms of dry eye syndrome include dryness, foreign body sensation, itching, excessive tearing, eye fatigue, inability to wear contact lenses for extended periods, difficulty driving at night, and more. Patients often experience eye fatigue, especially after prolonged reading, computer use, or watching television. Additionally, the eyes may become red, produce more discharge, and be sensitive to light. In severe cases, patients may experience frequent tearing, a compensatory response to the eyes' inability to maintain a normal moist state.

Why Treat Dry Eye Syndrome?

Dry eye syndrome not only causes eye discomfort but also significantly impacts vision and daily life. Without timely treatment, it can lead to corneal inflammation, and in severe cases, corneal ulcers and perforation. Furthermore, dry eye syndrome sensitizes the eyes, reduces quality of life, affects work efficiency, and social activities. Timely treatment not only relieves discomfort, prevents complications, but also preserves eye health and vision.

Treatment Methods

The combination of three methods

1.High-Intensity Radio Frequency,

2.Meibomian Gland Expression

3.Intense Pulsed Light Therapy.

Benefits

  1.  Improves meibomian gland secretion

  2. clears oxidized old lipids within the glands

  3.  optimizes the tear film

  4. maintains the normal composition of tears.

Are there Side Effects, Risks, or Pain?

This is a non-invasive treatment, with most procedures being comfortable and painless. The light part is described as feeling like "static electricity," and the skin around the eyes may temporarily redden and become sensitive. Overall, side effects of the treatment are very mild and rare.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

We allocate 2 hours for each appointment to allow time for patient questions and paperwork. The actual treatment time is approximately one and a half hours. A recommended course of treatment consists of four sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.

Optoelectronic Technology + Ophthalmology Specialized Synchronous Treatment: Eye Skin Aging + Dry Eye Syndrome Caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction

A. Bipolar Radiofrequency - Forma I
B. Meibomian Gland Expression and Cleansing
C. IPL Photorejuvenation - Lumecca I
Health Canada & FDA approved, non-invasive, painless, safe, and effective. With over a thousand successful clinical cases, it has been proven to efficiently improve Dry Eye Syndrome (MGD type).

Benefits

  1. Blocks chronic inflammation in the anterior segment of the eye.

  2. Clears blocked meibomian glands, restores meibum secretion function, and improves tear quality.

  3. Tightens existing collagen in the dermis, stimulates the production of elastic collagen fibers, and restores the elasticity and vitality of the periorbital skin.

Forma-I (Bipolar Radiofrequency)

Designed with a specialized probe for the eyes to alleviate symptoms of Dry Eye Syndrome (DED) caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). It accelerates blood circulation in the anterior segment of the eye, improving chronic inflammation of the meibomian glands and conjunctiva. Electromagnetic waves generate continuous deep heat energy to stimulate collagen production, while guiding more white blood cells and stem cells to the eyelid skin, combating inflammation and promoting regeneration.

Lumecca-I

Treats eyelid telangiectasia, meibomian gland dysfunction, and pigmented lesions by emitting pulsed light to the eyelids and facial skin. The light is absorbed by the meibomian gland tissue, activating and rejuvenating it. This therapy has been shown to reduce the number of demodex mites and bacteria around the eyelids. The powerful pulsed light can also close tiny blood vessels that release inflammatory factors, improve eyelid telangiectasia, promote the secretion of healthy lipids by the meibomian glands, and relieve dry eye syndrome.
